Moving from 3ds Max to Maya

"After using 3ds Max for several years I decided to move to Maya."

Easy, I am an FX Artist and If I want to work in the industry is essential Maya. Even more if we are talking about companies like MPC, Framestore or DNeg. After a few interviews with several of the biggest companies in the industry I have come to that conclusion ( maybe easy?).

Where is Houdini?
Houdini of course is very important to me and it is increasingly used in studies with Maya or alone. I will continue to refine my skills in Houdini (Right now I'm busy doing pretty interesting things with pyro and advecting particles system)

Goodbye 3ds max?
No! I will continue using it in personal proyects and modeling.

Coins, coins and more coins - Bullet - Houdini 12.5

Coins Simulation with a custom generator (Script). Coins created by pops on a basic geometry. Then we use the points generatedin POP and send it to DOP and copy basic geometry, Then we use point value of dop to copy an high poly geometry (with rendering displacement) in each point.
